IPCCC 2002 Group Tours

Tours will be conducted by Southwest Custom Tours on Saturday, April 6. The first is a Grand Canyon excursion which costs $84.00 per person. The second is a Sedona Tour at $47.00. Grand Canyon/Navajo Indian Reservation Tour

Soutwest Custom Tours will pick you up at the hotel at 7:00-8:00am. The tour will be in deluxe coaches with comfortable seating, rest rooms, large windows, and a speaker system to better hear the guide. Our route will take us north to the first rest stop in Camp Verde, where you can purchase a snack before continuing north through the pine forests of Flagstaff and the Navajo Indian Reservation. Here you will stop for shopping and an early lunch at the historic Cameron Trading Post. Next stop is Grand Canyon National Park. From Desert View, home of the famous Watchtower, we will spend time touring along the 22 mile drive of the South Rim. Your tour will stop at several viewpoints for you to take pictures, enjoy the different vistas overlooking the Canyon, and shop. There will be a stop for dinner on our return to the Valley, returning to the hotel approximately 8:30-9:30pm.

Sedona & Montezuma's Castle Tour

Southwest Custom Tours will pick you up at the hotel at 7:00-8:00am. The tour will be in deluxe coaches with comfortable seating, rest rooms, large windows, and a speaker system to better hear the guide. We'll first visit Montezuma's Castle, a prehistoric Sinagua Indian cliff dwelling on the shady banks of Beaver Creek in the Verde Valley. Next we make our way to the red rocks of Sedona and its spectacular views. Sedona has been the setting for many movie productions and an inspiration for countless artists and photographers. After lunch in Sedona, there is time for shopping at Tlaquepaque's many art galleries, or in uptown Sedona. We will return to the hotel at approximately 5:30-6:30 pm.

Tombstone Tour

Southwest Custom Tours will pick you up at the hotel at 7:00-8:00am. The tour will be in deluxe coaches with comfortable seating, rest rooms, large windows, and a speaker system to better hear the guide. After a brief stop at Picacho Peak, we continue south to the historic town of Tombstone, where the past meets the present in one of the wildest, wealthiest, and most glamorous of the Old West mining towns. Go through history to the land where Cochise, Geronimo and Wyatt Earp once lived. Tombstone is called the "town too tough to die". This is where mining traditions and wild west folklore meet. Explore some of the noted sites here such as the OK Corral, Boot Hill, the Bird Cage Theatre, and the Courthouse. There are several restaurants in Tombstone which will offer you a variety of choices for lunch, and there will be time for browsing in the many shops. We will return to the hotel at approximately 6:00-7:00pm.
