Student Travel Award Guidelines

Stipend:
Student travel awards will be in the form of hotel accommodation, airfare and/or student registration fee. The value of an award may be up to $500.

Eligibility:
(i) Must be a graduate student sponsored by a faculty member who is registered at the conference, OR,
(ii) Must be a graduate student who is the sole author of a paper to be presented in the conference and is sponsored by a faculty member, OR,
(iii) Must be a graduate student who is willing to do volunteer work at the conference and is sponsored by a faculty member.

Procedure:
Write a letter to the General Chair giving the following particulars:
(a)a letter indicating the category of eligibility (one of the above three categories),
(b)paper title if an author or coauthor,
(c)the accommodation needs in Phoenix, and
(d)sponsorship letter from a faculty member indicating if the faculty member is or will be registered in the conference.

Awards will be made during the period January 15- January 31, 2000 as the requests are received. The students will be notified by e-mail.
